O’Rourke Elementary has a SECME Robotics program for qualifying fourth and fifth grade students that meet weekly after school. They are comprised of several 3 man teams that compete using the VEX IQ robots and the SECME/VEX annual challenge competitions. The program encourages problem solving and team work strategies to create leaders in today’s technology based world. They are actively engaged in every stage of development from planning, creating, programming, and competing.
