Hi! My name is Mrs. Apryl Hayes! I will be your child’s 3rd grade math and science teacher for the 2020-2021 school year! I graduated from McGill-Toolen High School in 2000. I received a golf scholarship from the University of Mobile. I accepted, played golf for 4 years while attending UM, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 2005. This will be my sixteenth year teaching at O’Rourke Elementary! I taught 4th grade for 10 years and this will be my sixth year in 3rd grade! I’m excited about the school year and look forward to working with you and your child! I’ve grown up in Mobile, Alabama. My husband, Chuck, and I have been married for 13 years. He has also grown up in Mobile. We have two wonderful children. Chase is 11 years old and Sadie is 9 years old. We have a miniature schnauzer fur baby named Champ. We had to say goodbye to our other sweet fur baby, Crimson, in July. We also have chickens and are currently trying to hatch some chicks. We love playing golf and Alabama football. We also love being outdoors on the water or in the country.
